Our Distillery

Meet Annie!

Let us introduce you to Annie - our 600L Copper Pot Still, manufactured in Tasmania.

Annie, the third member of our team (and probably the hardest working), was named after our Mom, Anna, who has been an inspiration to us, providing continual encouragement to be strong, independent individuals and to always chase our dreams.

So glad you’re part of the team, Annie….

A Location Close to our Hearts

It’s no secret that we love to travel – so when we found our location, situated next to the Cambridge Aerodrome and close to Hobart International Airport, we thought it would be a perfect fit!

Helicopters, sea planes, and light aircraft (and even larger passenger planes at a distance) are regular features in the area and create an exciting atmosphere within the distillery. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch one of the light aircraft descending for a landing. They come in so low you feel like you can just reach out and touch them – if you stand on your tippy-toes! :-)

Custom Built

Our distillery was custom built to our specifications and allows for future expansion. Our black sheds, grassy area and garden are a sharp contrast to the concrete buildings that surround us.

Leveraging Tasmania

Producing our products in Tasmania allows us to leverage this great State in many ways. Our pristinely clean air and unique and wild natural environment helps with creating some of the purest rain in the world, which is collected onsite for use in our product.

The diurnal climate also adds character to our aged products, allowing the barrels to absorb the environment and the alcohol to leach through the barrels at a different rate than in other climates.

Drifters End Botanical Beds

Sam loves to garden and having the space to plant botanicals and other plants was important.

We are also creating the Drifters End Botanical Beds - a garden where you can roam and see the source of botanicals used in the making of some of our products.

More than a one-use bottle

Our bottle and enclosure design has been chosen so that it can be reused for other purposes e.g. storing bath salts, bubble bath, dried spices, dried herbs, etc.

Let us know on social media how you are reusing your bottle!

Featuring Local Artists

Our family have a great appreciation for art and we would like our customers appreciate great art as well as great spirits during a visit to our Tasting Room.

As such, we've opened up our walls to display, for sale, artworks from local artists.

If you are interested in displaying your artwork, please feel free to contact us.

Please note that artworks are only available at the tasting room and are not available for sale online.
